In 2017, Vikings on HISTORY invaded San Diego Comic-Con; host to some of their most passionate fans. Highlighted by a 45-foot Vikings ship in the San Diego Harbor, HISTORY honored the passing of the show’s most beloved character with an authentic Vikings Funeral. Featuring a disruptive funeral procession throughout San Diego’s Gaslamp District, a drinking horn promotion with local bars, and culminating in a proper Funeral Ceremony with talent appearances and a ship burning for thousands of excited fans.
