TLDR: Audible awoke fans of The Sandman by tapping DC comic artists to illustrate their dreams.

Audible launched the first-ever audio adaptation of Neil Gaiman's seminal DC Comics graphic novel series: The Sandman. Voiced by James McAvoy, the Sandman rules over “The Dreaming,” the place we all visit when we sleep.

Drawn from The Dreaming invited talent, influencers, press and fans alike to share one of their strangest dreams (or “visits to The Dreaming”) for a chance to have it illustrated by a top DC artist, some of whom even contributed to the original graphic novels.

Illustrated dreams were shared to our IG gallery, each overlaid with an excerpt from the audio adaptation — creating engagement and buzz even in a year without Comic-Con.
