TLDR: An interactive scavenger hunt across iconic NYC filming locations.

It a weekend in June packed with two exciting HBO Max premieres: In the Heights and Gossip Girl. Both, like some many great movies and shows, filmed against the iconic backdrop of New York City.

To celebrate, HBO Max dropped 20 giant purple pins in famous filming locations across Manhattan — both from the two premiering titles, as well as other fan favorites like Succession, Sex and the City, You’ve Got Mail and Friends.

At each pin, fans were invited to scan a QR code to watch the scene and unlock a local reward — including free Magnolia Cupcakes, CitiBike rides and credits to Lin Manuel Miranda’s independent bookstore.
